The R&D teams, especially the non-technical community, struggled with an outdated visual query tool (VQT) that lacked the flexibility required to create ad-hoc queries for scientific data, such as assays, molecular structures, and sequencing - limiting R&D innovation and insights. Users had to manually write SQL queries or rely on limited, pre-built reports in Tableau and Spotfire, creating inefficiencies.

Agilisium’s Life Sciences SMEs closely collaborated with the client’s R&D community to understand their needs and develop a custom approach. Agilisium developed the Virtual Query Builder (VQB), a sophisticated solution built on AWS's on-demand cloud platform that empowers non-technical R&D staff to query the Enterprise Data Fabric with ease, streamlining workflows and enhancing research efficiency.
